To achieve business excellence, an organization needs to have a winning strategy and a plan to operationalize that strategy. While this is an intuitive and straightforward concept, in reality it can be very difficult to implement. To that end, we have developed  an integrated  and structured process that links all of the business units and functional priorities to the organization’s strategic objectives. It aligns everyone’s goals and objectives around the organization’s most important initiatives. “Operationaliz-ing”  the strategy is the process of synchronizing  the organization’s cultures and systems with the key performance indicators. This process is about getting buy-in from the whole organization to execute the plan flawlessly and achieve the desired results. It is about replacing traditional individual and functional projects with overall organizational priorities in pursuit of business excellence.

“Operationaliz-ing” the strategy is a structured 5 step process:

1. Define strategic objectives
2. Prioritize long term and short term initiatives
3. Develop cascading scorecards - Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with goals and milestones, ownership and accountability and  interdependencies.
4. Constantly Communicate to gain Organizational Buy – In
5. Performance Review - Evaluate and Improve


This process drives assessment of the potential risks and facilitates development of mitigating actions to overcome the areas of vulnerability.
